An .aux file is a portable AUX tool package. Skins are the first tool type: a complete player face that connects to your music in Meshcast.
Open it. Choose it. Play.
Download a skin, open the .aux file in the updated Meshcast app, and choose it from either deck’s shape menu. Your music and accounts stay with the player. Old .fundeck files still import.
For creators
Version 1 is a UTF-8 JSON file, with embedded images and fonts. The file declares its tool type and API version; apps only open the types they support. A skin contains HTML, CSS and optional JavaScript, with a 3 MB package limit.

}Classic Winamp, brought forward
Import a .wsz or .zip to convert the classic main player into an AUX skin. The original download is preserved separately. Playlist and equalizer windows, modern .wal scripts, and some original controls are not supported by this first renderer.
Skins run offline with Meshcast’s supplied controls. They cannot fetch scripts, access music account cookies or play their own audio. Other AUX tool types will declare their own capabilities as they are added.
